Bridal Shower Favors

Though pre-wedding costs can run pretty high, gifts don’t need to be expensive to be appealing or unique as shown by the following DIY bridal shower favors.
Useful DIY Bridal Shower Favors
- Tin Can Candle Holder: For this party favor, gather empty soup cans and peel off the outer wrapper. Using a church key (the triangular shaped can opener), pierce three holes on the bottom and two holes on top, distanced equally apart. Then spray paint the whole can using the bride’s favorite color. Decorate the can by gluing objects or drawing a design. Then place a tea light inside. The two holes on top can be used to attach a metal wire for hanging.
- Customized Pen: Purchase a set of pens. Cover the pen with firm fabric or scrapbook paper using regular glue. Spread the glue out to prevent uneven texture. Then with hot glue, affix mini rhinestones or jewels for the finishing touches. Customize the pen further by adding a small tag printed with the bride-to-be’s name and date of the bridal shower. Attach the tag to the pen with string.
Sweet DIY Bridal Shower Favors
- Cocoa Powder Jar: With a small, clear and empty jar, decorate the exterior. First, cut out two strips of gimp ribbon, long enough to go around the jar. Using hot glue, attach the ribbons to the jar horizontally at the center, one-fourth inch apart. Cover the cap with fabric using the hot glue. Then add cocoa powder, teabags or loose leaf.
No-Sew Mini Tote Bag: Miniature no-sew tote bags filled with candy or chocolate make great bridal shower favors. Begin by cutting out two pieces of sturdy fabric in a square shape. Align them together with the front sides facing each other. Cover the staples with a strip of white duct tape. Then cut short straps from shoelaces and duct tape it to the fabric on both sides.
